Aircraft Maintenance Platforms & Component Lifting
WORLDHOISTS Wire Rope Hoists
Make Room for Maintenance
An electric hoist for aircraft components, configured around your load, headroom and positioning needs.
WORLDHOISTS
Bring Maintenance
Within Reach
An overhead aircraft maintenance platform leaves floor space clear. WORLDHOISTS wire rope hoists handle aircraft components.
Horizontal Travel
Crane and trolley travel move the platform between maintenance areas.
Telescopic Access
The telescopic mast adjusts the platform to the required working height.
Platform Rotation
Rotation adjusts the approach direction around the aircraft.
WORLDHOISTS Aviation Access from Above
Select a component to view it in more detail.
Overhead Crane System
Multi-suspension hangar cranes support the platform from above. Crane and trolley travel provide horizontal movement. Latching devices link adjacent bridges, allowing the platform or trolley to move between cranes and extend coverage across the hangar.
Upper Platform
The upper platform brings together the lifting unit, controls, self-diagnostics, safety monitoring and air compressor. Two access ladders, full guardrails and a door limit switch complete the platform arrangement.
Telescopic Mast
The lightweight circular telescopic mast adjusts working height and helps reduce oscillation. A rotation system beneath the trolley turns the upper and working platforms within a ±180° range, with stepless speed control for smoother rotation.
Working Platform
The working platform carries maintenance staff and tools to the work area. Safety bumpers help protect the aircraft, and power and compressed-air outlets support tools. The safety door interlock stops all motion when the door opens.
More Room to Lift
Less Headroom Required
A WORLDHOISTS low headroom hoist leaves more lifting space for aircraft component handling.
Longer Wire Rope Life
A large-diameter drum reduces hook drift and extends wire rope life.
Low Headroom Design
Compact C-shaped construction reduces installation height to leave more lifting space.
Control for Component Positioning
Two-speed lifting is standard. Optional stepless control, inching, micro-speed and sway control support component positioning.
Protection During Lifting
Includes overheat protection, overload protection and an electromagnetic disk brake.
From Wing Access
To Engine Handling
Aircraft access and component handling call for different equipment and configurations.
Plan platform coverage around fuselage and wing maintenance areas, coordinated with docks and floor routes.
Plan mast travel and rotation around tail height and surrounding clearance.
Match lifting equipment and controls to the engine or component load, lifting points and transfer route.
Configured for Your Hangar
Start with the load, available headroom and positioning needs.
Load and Duty
Confirm component and accessory weights, lifting frequency and operating time to select capacity and duty class.
Space and Lift Height
Check runway elevation, available headroom and lifting points to establish the mounting arrangement and lift height.
Travel and Positioning
Choose controls to suit the transfer route and positioning needs. Inching and micro-speed are optional.
